Cloudy skies and an iffy forecast couldn’t stop a group of BTLT and AMC members from enjoying the views at Woodward Point this past Saturday! Michelle Moody led the charge through meadows and forest to the New Meadows River.
Woodward Point Preserve is open year round, with excellent outdoor recreation opportunities ranging from sea kayaking to bird watching to cross country skiing. The property has been conserved in partnership with Maine Coast Heritage Trust and covers most of Woodward Point in the upper reaches of Casco Bay. The property covers more than 80 acres, has over two miles of shoreline along two peninsulas on the New Meadows River in Brunswick, and features extensive open rolling meadows, pine and hardwood forests, a freshwater pond, and several water access points.
