This series of events is meant to engage and educate the community about the natural world where we live. These talks encourage participants to better understand our connection to the land and the place we call home.

Voices from the Classroom
February 27, Topsham Public Library, 6:00-7:30pm
Mt. Ararat Advanced Biology students presented original research on local ecosystems of the Cathance River Nature Preserve in Topsham to nearly 70 community members, showcasing studies on wildlife, biodiversity, and long-term forest health.
Voices of Changemakers

Join us for a conversation with young Changemakers Sulwan Ahmed and Ray Mills to explore how our current relationships with the land are influenced by our pasts and how we are all connected through the soil beneath our feet.
Voices from the Androscoggin

Join historian Zach Bennett for a talk on Pejepscot Falls, exploring how the Wabanaki, colonists, industrialists, and environmentalists have shaped and been shaped by the Androscoggin River over time.

Join us to hear from Mihku Paul and James McCarthy as they share stories about their relationship to the watersheds where they live: for Mihku Paul, the Presumpscot River and Casco Bay; for James McCarthy, it’s Merrymeeting Bay and three of its rivers, the Androscoggin, Kennebec and Cathance.
