We’re excited to announce the opening of a new connection, the Trident Trail, at Neptune Woods!

This trail connection was made possible by BTLT’s preserve partner, Six Rivers NEMBA chapter (New England Mountain Bike Association), who organized volunteers to build a new trail connection and a 30 foot long bridge that connects two single track lanes across Mere Brook. This update creates an additional loop that will be perfect for welcoming back youth bike races in the coming summers!

Six Rivers has been a partner at the preserve since the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority transferred the property to BTLT in 2018. Six Rivers designed and built the existing trail system at Neptune Woods and continues to work with BTLT to maintain and manage the trails to make them mountain biking friendly for users of all ages.  Thank you Six Rivers and the volunteers whose hard work has opened up a new route for walkers, runners, and mountain bikers to enjoy as they connect with the great outdoors.
