Dionne Farm Conserved!

We are pleased to share that, thanks to the incredible generosity of over 75 donors in our community, Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust has successfully raised the $2 million to secure the preservation of Dionne Farm on Pleasant Hill Road in Brunswick. This beloved property, with its iconic barn and open fields, will serve as BTLT’s future home and a hub for connection, conservation, and community. Protecting Dionne Farm marks not just the end of a successful fundraising effort, but the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our mission and the people we serve. 

One of the first steps in this vision is moving the BTLT Saturday Farmers Market, voted “Best Farmers Market in Maine” three years in a row, across the street from its current site to the Dionne Farm property. The move will create a safer and better experience for both vendors and visitors, including a larger, improved parking area and an expanded Market green to welcome even more farmers, makers, and bakers. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be gathering feedback at the Market and through an online survey to ensure this transition reflects the hopes and needs of our community.

As BTLT celebrates its 40th year, we see Dionne Farm as a powerful example of what’s possible when people come together to protect land, support local food, and build resilience for the future. From supporting farms and forests to hosting community events and hands-on education, the Farm will allow us to deepen our impact for generations to come.
