Happy Pride Month!

We had so much fun seeing you at Brunswick Pride Festival earlier this month!
What a fantastic past three years of collaborative programming with our friends at Queerly ME. We are so grateful for the opportunities we’ve been able to co-create for and with our local LGBTQIA+ community. From foraging, birding, and yoga, to critter-spotting, fairy house building, and puddle stomping, we’ve learned new things, made new friends, and explored the beautiful landscapes together.
Not everyone is given the same opportunities to build a relationship with nature, and a core part of BTLT’s mission to connect people with the natural world through inclusive education and recreation programs. BTLT acknowledges that the outdoors have historically not been, and at times are still not, a safe space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community to gather and exist authentically. In close partnership with Queerly ME, the Trail Mixer series aims to provide intergenerational safe spaces for connection, community building, and outdoor exploration amongst the LGBTQIA+ community. Allies are also welcome to attend. Stay tuned for more Trail Mixers this fall!
Shoutout to Kyle Warnock and Nathan Gabel for many of these great photos.
