Volunteer at the Garden

As part of accepting a plot at the garden, plotholders give back by volunteering. Partnering with them are volunteer gardeners from Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program, the broader community, our local high school programs and more.  Whether you are a plotholder or an interested community member, scroll down to find out what you can do to help!

Looking for a volunteer task at the Tom Settlemire Community Garden?

We still need volunteers for,

  • Mowing around the Garden (within the fence)
  • Composting
  • Woodwork

If you are interested in being on the team for any of the above tasks, please email garden@btlt.org. Thank you!

COMMON GOOD GARDEN WORKDAYS:

Please RSVP with Dev at devore.culver@gmail.com if you plan on volunteering to ensure we can social distance while volunteering.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 8:30 am – 10:30 am

Wednesdays: 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

If you can’t make it to workdays but want to volunteer at the Common Good Garden, or have any questions regarding the Garden, please email garden@btlt.org.

All are welcome.  You do not have to be a plot holder to join us at the workdays and gardening experience is not required. We work primarily in the Common Good Garden, where we grow food to donate to Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program.

Thank you for all you do to make the Tom Settlemire Community Garden a wonderful place to grow!
