Four families layered up to explore Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust’s Tarbox Preserve in Topsham on a chilly mid-November morning. We found our fairy house making material frozen in, so Jamie Pacheco, BTLT Program Manager, led the families instead on a scavenger hunt. Children searched for pine cones, conifers, acorns, decidious leaves, lichen and animal tracks. Pondering about animal tracks in the snow was a sure highlight. Thank you to all who came out to brave the cold with us!

Southern Midcoast Forest Playgroup is a free, parent-facilitated programs that aims to provide a space for like-aged children to explore, learn, and interact outside. Their branch meets every Thursday at 10am at different locations in the region, one location each month being a BTLT property. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
