Youth Cycle Project at Neptune Woods

The Maine Youth Bike Series will be at Neptune Woods on August 21! Their focus is to get kids on bikes and increase the number of youth participating in the sport of mountain biking.

This is an exciting series of races throughout the summer, featuring BTLT’s trails at Neptune Woods. Registration is required for this event with the Youth Cycle Project.

Youth Cycle Project believes that by providing children the opportunity to bicycle we are helping to encourage healthy lifestyles that can be used to overcome life’s challenges.

$15 per race

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

5:00 – 5:45 PM
Setup and registration – skill review, bike and helmet check, warm up, games

5:50 PM
Riders meeting

6:00 PM
Races start in this order:
HS Varsity/JV – 5 laps (approx. 45-50 mins.)
Jr A – 3 laps (approx. 30-35 mins.)
Jr B – 2 laps (approx. 20-25 mins.)
Mini A – 2 laps (approx. 15-20 mins.)
Mini B – 1 lap (approx. 10-15 mins.)
“Littles” 2-4 yrs. – 1/2 lap (approx. 7-10 mins.)

RAIN CANCELLATION POLICY

We will do our best to determine if an event needs to be canceled 24 hours in advance. At worst, cancellations will be announced by noon the day of the event on our Facebook page. For those not on Facebook, our cancellation phone number is 207-776-2967. If it is forecasted to rain throughout the day of an event then we will cancel. However, if there is just a chance of a shower or sprinkle, then we race! Safety is our top priority and we recognize that many participants make long trips to our events so we want to make sure we give you ample time to plan accordingly.

Approximately located at 349 Neptune Drive in Brunswick.
From the main entrance on the Bath Road, start on Admiral Fitch drive. Take the second left onto Anchor Drive. At the stop sign, turn right onto Neptune Drive. In approximately 0.5mi, there is a hard right turn in the road. Parking is on the left at the kiosk.
