Join us at the Labyrinth in the Woods to celebrate the Winter Solstice – come together with friends and neighbors to bring light and joy into the longest night of the year!

Guided walks will occur at 4:30pm, 5:30pm and 6:30pm. The walks to and around the labyrinth will be accompanied by live flute music (4:30 and 5:30, thank you Scott Edwards!) and live choral music (6:30). If you appreciate a more solitary celebration of the solstice, please enjoy walking the labyrinth between 7:00-8:00pm.

Children and adults of all ages are encouraged to attend. This event is a non-denominational way to celebrate the changing seasons. Everyone is welcome!

Volunteers are needed to set-up and take-down the luminaria, snowshoe the path if we have fresh snow, and greet and direct attendees. If you would like to help us with any of these tasks, please sign up through this link. Email Jamie with any questions, jamie@btlt.org.

The luminaria lit path begins next to the Tom Settlemire Community Garden.

It will be dark! Please bring a camping lantern, flashlight or headlamp as well.

It will be cold! Please dress very warmly.

It may be slippery! Please wear appropriate footwear and take this into consideration if you have limited mobility or small children.

Please bring your own solstice lantern.  Make your own at home! Click the links below for step-by-step instructions for great DIY lantern ideas.
