For many of us, watching fireflies is a favorite summer evening pastime, but most have no idea what is really taking place in a firefly meadow!
Join Cathance River Education Alliance and Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust as they host Don Salvatore, long time science educator at the Museum of Science in Boston and past curator of the Firefly Watch Community Science Project. If you have ever wondered, “Where do fireflies live?”, “Why are they flashing?”, “Where can I go to see fireflies?”, or “How can I get fireflies in MY yard?”, this talk is for you!
This is a virtual presentation via zoom, is suitable for all ages, and will be followed by a nighttime firefly observation event on July 7.
