Join Wayne Whitney for a guided tour of Tarbox Preserve focusing on the stewardship management of this property and the work of BTLT. Tarbox is a 121-acre property that spans between the Cathance and Muddy Rivers. Owned by the Land Trust, it is accessible from Middlesex Road in Topsham. The property includes upland forests, fields, active vernal pools, wetlands, and over 4,000 feet of river frontage.
Wayne Whitney has been a BTLT member for 33 years and an active volunteer for 9 years. His volunteer work primarily focus on trail management. Wayne is a retired attorney, 10th generation Mainer, and has lived in Brunswick for 37 years. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, biking, and X-country skiing.
The walk should take 1hr-1.5hrs. We suggest wearing sturdy shoes and bringing water, sunscreen and a hat.
