Join Wayne Whitney, member of BTLT’s Stewardship Committee, for a guided tour of Tarbox Preserve. The walk will cover the history of the property and information on how the land is stewarded.

Tarbox is a 121-acre property that spans between the Cathance and Muddy Rivers. Owned by BTLT, it is accessible from Middlesex Road in Topsham. The property includes upland forests, fields, active vernal pools, wetlands, and over 4,000 feet of river frontage.

Wayne Whitney has been a BTLT member for 34 years and an active volunteer for 10 years. His volunteer work primarily focuses on trail management. Wayne is a retired attorney, 10th generation Mainer, and has lived in Brunswick for 38 years. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, biking, and X-country skiing.

The walk should take 1 hour.  We suggest wearing sturdy shoes and bringing water, sunscreen and a hat.

This event is free but registration is requested!

The BTLT Stewardship Tour Series seeks to introduce the community to land conservation, stewardship, and history by offering guided walks with the Land Trust’s incredible Stewardship Team!
