Guided Walks every 15 minutes from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Join us at the Labyrinth in the Woods to celebrate the Winter Solstice – Come together with friends and neighbors to bring light and joy into the longest night of the year!

We will light lanterns, sing songs, drink cocoa by the fire, and walk the labyrinth as a way to celebrate the return of the sun and lengthening days.

A guided walk of the labyrinth will leave every 15 minutes starting at 5:00pm, with a final walk at 6:00pm. If you prefer to walk the labyrinth in solitude, you may walk the lit path from 4:05 to 5:00pm or from 6:15 – 8:00pm.

A few volunteers are needed – help with parking, tending the fire, cocoa set up, luminaria set-up and break-down, photography, and singers, of course.

If you’d like to help out, please click here.

Children of all ages are encouraged to attend. This event is a non-denominational way to celebrate the changing seasons. Everyone is welcome!

Meet at the fire. When you arrive, there will be a lit path to the fire. Labyrinth walks will leave from that location every 15 minutes from 5pm until 6pm.

Please bring your own lantern. Join us on December 18th from 3:30 to 5:00pm for a free lantern making event at Curtis Memorial Library. Details found HERE.

*We will have some flame less LED lights for you to put in your lanterns if you need one– please no real flames.

It will be dark! So please bring a lantern as well as a flashlight or headlamp.

It will be cold! So please dress very warmly.

It may be slippery! So please wear appropriate footwear and take this into consideration if you have limited mobility or small children.

Parking is limited. See the map to the right for suggested parking locations – please, if possible, allow families with children or those with more limited mobility to use  parking areas 1 and 2. (You can click on the image to enlarge it.)

Please note – it will be DARK during this event. For your own safety, please bring a light source (such as a flashlight) that you feel comfortable walking with for the short distance down the trail to the Labyrinth.
