BTLT’s first collaboration with Queers of Greater Portland!

Join us for a beginner-level wild edibles walk and plant ID exploration at Crystal Spring Farm.

This event is for members of the LQBTQIA+ community for a chance to connect and enjoy the outdoors!

Knate Higgins will be leading our expedition – a certified registered American herbalist and skilled medicinal/magickal plant identifier. In addition, Knate is an educator for Portland public schools, a New England Drag Artist (Bunny Wonderland) and an avid rooftop gardener.

We will be meeting at Crystal Spring Farm at 12:15pm and head out for an hour long walk on the trails. Afterwards, we plan to convene at Little Dog Coffee Shop in downtown Brunswick to chat, connect, and enjoy a snack or drink.

Registration is free, but required. Vaccination is required, if eligible, for this event.

This event is capped at 20 attendees – if it is full, please email lydia@btlt.org to be put in the waitlist.

What to Bring:

  • good walking shoes
  • vaccination card
  • mask (for Little Dog)
  • weather appropriate clothing
  • a small bag, basket, or container
  • insect repellent
  • sense of humor
