Come tackle invasive woody plants at Androscoggin Woods with Sarah Wolpow!
Sarah Wolpow, owner of SweetFern Garden Design, and licensed herbicide applicator, is back to help teach how to identify and eradicate woody invasive plants using the cut and dab method. The workshop will begin with an educational portion followed by hands on practice identifying and removing invasives such as Asiatic bittersweet vine, multiflora rose, glossy buckthorn, European barberry and burning bush.
Attendees will meet in the Androscoggin Woods parking lot and have a short walk through the woods to the work area.
Please bring water, work clothes, and bug spray. Bring hand pruners and loppers if you have them. BTLT will have some extra tools, latex gloves, safety equipment, and invasive plants!
