Forest Bathing uses the meditative power of nature to heal. Bathe yourself in the calm and serenity of nature.
Taking a walk in the woods is healing. In the 1980s, researchers of preventative health practices in Japan and South Korea began verifying the health benefits of spending time relaxing in the forest. The research on Forest Bathing show reduced stress hormones and stronger immune systems, better moods, faster healing and more energy in participants. We focus on maximizing those benefits by joining together mindfulness and Qigong techniques.
Join Cleo Wolf, Acupuncturist and former Buddhist monk, for this mindfulness based practice. Meet at Jade Integrated Health in Brunswick and take a short stroll through the woods to the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust Labyrinth. Here participants will learn and practice usable mindfulness, meditation and qigong techniques.
