Learn what it’s like to travel to truly remote sites around the world as part of the effort to better understand climate change. Professor Paul Mayewski will talk about his 2019 National Geographic expedition to install automated weather stations on and near Mt. Everest and numerous other expeditions to remote sites around the world – all in pursuit of data on how our climate is changing. He will also discuss the Maine’s current and projected climate. The talk will be presented via Zoom with opportunities to ask questions of the speaker.
