September 11, 2019
7:30 am - 8:30 am
Learn the importance of curing crops, and the proper storage of food items. Also, find out how to build and use a solar dehydrator to preserve the harvest. A variety of preservation options will be discussed.
This event is a part of the 2019 Growing Literacy Series.
Thanks to the generosity of the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust, Curtis Memorial Library is pleased to host a series of hands-on workshops at BTLT’s Tom Settlemire Community Garden.
Join us in 2019 as we relearn how to relax and read in the garden. Learn how to grow free plants, get produce without weeding, and create a productive space to relax and read. All garden workshops will include a parcel tour.
Unless otherwise noted, all programs will take place at the garden. The Tom Settlemire Community Garden is at the end of Maurice Drive in Brunswick, Maine. (For GPS use 90 Maurice Drive.) All programs are free and open to the public.
CSF – North is the location of one of our trail heads, as well as our Tom Settlemire Community Garden and Labyrinth in the Woods
