Upper Coombs Island

Viewshed Protection

Important Habitat

Upper Coombs Island is a 7-acre easement property in the New Meadows River. Upper Coombs Island is undeveloped and its 1,600 feet of rocky shoreline and dense mixed woods are important scenic assets viewed from the river and mainland. It provides nesting and feeding territory for eagles, osprey, heron, seals and other animals. The easement also helps to protect important intertidal areas productive for clam and marine worm harvesting.

This easement does not allow for public access.
