Viewshed Protection

The Howard Point Property is a 35-acre easement property located between the New Meadows River and Thomas Bay. The property is forested and contains about 2,500 feet of rocky shoreline on Thomas Bay, including saltmarsh and mudflats. Thomas Bay is identified as potentially significant wading bird habitat by Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.  The easement protects the scenic character of shoreline visible from Thomas Point Beach which is visited by many people.  The easement does not provide for public access.
