This 8-acre easement property on the Foreside Road in Topsham has shore frontage on the Muddy River and abuts shoreland owned by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. The property, visible from the road and river, has multiple values. It buffers wetlands that have high scenic and natural values that are enhanced by conservation of the adjacent property.  Conservation of the property protects water quality in the Muddy River which drains to ecologically and economically valuable Merrymeeting Bay.  The easement allows for continuation of agricultural use of a portion of the property.
