Chase Reserve

Chase Reserve is a 194-acre easement property on Bunganuc Road in Brunswick. Protected in 2011, the property has extensive shore frontage on ecologically significant Maquoit Bay, including valuable intertidal land. Part of the largest unfragmented forest block along the coast in Cumberland County, Chase Reserve’s diverse mix of managed forest, late successional white pine and hemlock stands, and vernal pools make it a great place to see wildlife.

A mile-long trail provides access to upland portions of the property. A small parking area is located west of the road adjacent to the Brunswick/Freeport town boundary.  The trail leads to the rear of the property and can be used to access trails on adjacent conserved land in Freeport.

There is currently no public access to the bay side of the property.
