How lucky we are to have Members and Partners like you! With the 2021 giving season recently drawing to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on how grateful and humbled we are to be supported so generously by individual donors and local businesses alike. Although Covid continues to upend our lives (can we count as a side benefit the new-found opportunity to learn the Greek alphabet?), our giving season totals tell us that our Community Members and Community Partners remain committed to seeing that our conservation, stewardship, and programmatic work carry on unabated. In December we welcomed 64 new Community Members (gifts up to $999) and 13 new Community Partners (gifts of $1,000 or more). We also welcomed back 242 renewing Community Members and 26 renewing Community Partners — putting us well ahead of our mid-fiscal-year goals. The support of our Business Members and Business Partner remains strong as well, though we know the realities of the pandemic continue to negatively impact the financial footing of many of our business supporters. We encourage you to support our local business community that has shown us so much generosity through the years.
To be sure, we still have work to do to meet our FY2022 financial goals by the end of our fiscal year on June 30th. But thanks to you, we’re off to a great start. Your generous and steady support provides us with a solid base from which to continue our work of conserving land and connecting people to it. It also provides us critical breathing room as we ponder the exciting questions and inquiries that come our way — the “what ifs” and “I wonders” and “could you pleases.” We are so fortunate that we get to do what we do with the support of people like you. Thank You.
