Other Public Access Areas

Descriptions of local areas that are open to the public, and directions on how to get to them, are available on several websites. The following links are among the best for finding other areas to explore around Brunswick and Topsham.

• www.curtislibrary.com/go/brunslocal.html is a listing of many of the public-access trails and properties. It includes brief descriptions and directions and has links to other sites throughout the state.
• www.mltn.org is the site of the Maine Land Trust Alliance. It identifies land trust holdings around the state, some of which are open to the public.
• www.harpswelllandtrust.org is the site of the Harpswell Land Trust. Click on "Properties" for a listing of several public-access properties in Harpswell.
• www.lkrlt.org is the site of the Lower Kennebec Regional Land Trust. Click on "Protected Properties" to see a map and description of Thorne Head Preserve on the Kennebec River in nearby Bath.
