After many great years in our current office space in the Bank of America Building on Maine Street, the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust is in search of a new home. Bank of America generously leased us our space at a rate far below market levels but they now have internal needs for this location and have asked us to vacate the building by November 30, 2016. This was unexpected and we are moving as quickly as we can to identify a new location.
We are reaching out to our community to ask for your help and ideas. If you know of available space that might meet our needs OR if you have ideas on leads, we would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Our current office space is approximately 1,300 sf but this includes two conference rooms. With six staff members, we would need at least 850 sf.
Our top priority is to find space that could be donated or leased at a significantly discounted rate.
If we need to pay full market rate, our office space budget will increase by an estimated $13,000/yr. We are working on a plan to raise the necessary funds if we are unable to find a donated or discounted space.
Be assured we are working hard to find a great new home for the Land Trust. We see this not only as a challenge, but also an opportunity to find a space that can meet our needs as the organization evolves. For instance, a space that could accommodate our stewardship and community education programs as well as office operations would be ideal!
Thanks for your support of the Land Trust and for any help you can give us as we search for a new home.
